Our Trustee

Meet our trustees who are in charge of managing and organising the events.

Appointed when charity was formed.
Works as a GP and primary care surgeon in inner city Salford, Manchester. Formerly a GP clinical lead; has ongoing interest in diversity community participation. Has founded charities in UK and Nigeria.

Mrs. Ngozi Ike-Umebuani. Retired – IT Banking & Business Administration. MSc – Core Banking & IT. BSc – Business Administration & Management. HND – Cooperatives, Commerce & Accounting.

Appointed…. When the charity was formed. Has a very good management experience.

Dr Quincy Izu Chuka, MBChB MRCGP, Post Grad. Diploma in Cardiology, Post Grad. in Education & Medical Leadership.

Quincy was appointed when the charity was formed.
He is General Practitioner (GP) with interest in Cardiology and a Partner at Holes Lane Warrington.
He is currently the Chair & Senior Medical Director for Quay Primary Healthcare CIC Warrington.
He was Clinical Lead for Long-Term Conditions for Warrington ICB for 7 4. He graduated from University of Manchester and has a breath of leadership experience.

Ofodile Obidike MSc(Eng.), MBA, MAPM, CEng, MIET, FSEng (TUV Rheinland)

Appointed 2021

Ofodile Obidike is a Chartered and certified Functional Safety Engineer with 15+ years of professional experience. He is currently a Design Intelligent Customer Leader at Sellafield Ltd. Ofodile has vast experience in managing a broad range of high-performing and cross-functional teams. This includes a variety of nuclear regulatory stakeholder engagements in the delivery of complex multi-million-pound nuclear decommissioning and waste management project and programme portfolios. Ofodile has an MBA from Durham University and has particular interest in planning and optimising project resources to achieve significant results and cost savings for relevant community and charitable projects.

Dr Lawrence Emeka Modeme

Appointed trustee at the formation of the AWF. Dr Lawrence Emeka Modeme is a distinguished barrister, solicitor, academic, and author and publisher. He obtained his Bachelor of Law (LLB) from the University of Nigeria Nsukka in 1990 and was called to the Bar as barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 1991 after his professional training at the Nigeria Law School Lagos. Dr Modeme practised law for many years as both barrister and solicitor in civil law and ligation before embarking on post-graduate legal studies in the United Kingdom. He obtained an LLM (International Law) from Southampton Solent University and Nottingham Trent University in 2003, and a PhD (Public International Law) from the University of Manchester in 2010. Dr Modeme has lectured at the Universities of Manchester and Salford and Kaplan University/Open Learning. He is currently a senior lecturer and LLM leader at the Manchester Law School, Manchester Metropolitan University. He has also been a visiting lecturer and course director at the University of Hong Kong’s School of Professional and Continuing Legal Education since 2012. Dr Modeme’s legal expertise is in public international law, specifically International political rights, the right to self-determination, and international humanitarian law, in which areas he has written extensively. Dr Modeme is a community leader and trustee of two UK charities.
